2nd-grade field trip
On Tues, Dec 19 2nd gr. will visit with the Sisters at The Holy Family of Nazareth.
Your child will need a SACK LUNCH and water bottle.
Info from Mrs. Rovegno: Tomorrow is $1 Jeans Day and Pedro Medrano Day. Since we will be visiting the Sisters of the Holy Family tomorrow, we would like 2nd grade students to wear a white shirt with their St. Rita sweater or fleece and jeans, or, their uniform. We will provide a purple heart pin that they can wear to honor Pedro Medrano. Please remember to bring a sack lunch and a water bottle. Since they are predicting rain in the forecast for tomorrow, we will not be going to the park. We will just return to school after our visit to the Retreat Center. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. We are looking forward to a memorable Service Learning Field Trip and spreading some Christmas cheer with the Sisters!

This Week at SRS Monday, December 18, 2017
From the School Office:
Tuesday, December 19th:
Important Announcements:
WEAR PURPLE FOR PEDRO
Our monthly Jeans Day TOMORROW, 12/19/17, will be dedicated to the memory of Pedro Medrano, a member of our St. Rita Class of 2020 who died tragically in a car accident in the summer of 2016. Pedro had been a part of our Spartan community since kindergarten, and his sister Paulina is a current St. Rita student. Pedro’s parents Evangelina and Domingo are active members of our parish Hispanic Ministry. In short, Pedro was one of our own, and his loss will always be deeply felt. All funds collected on Dec.19 will be donated to the Pedro Medrano Memorial Scholarship fund. Please bring a minimum of $1 donation and wear jeans and a t-shirt, preferably with something purple. Purple was Pedro's favorite color!
CHRISTMAS PURSE
Thank you, St. Rita parents, for your generosity to the Parents Club Christmas purse. The faculty and staff were thrilled with their Christmas bonuses! If you would like a receipt for your donation and did not yet receive one in the mail, please contact Susan Lynch at slynch@strita.net. Be on the lookout for appreciation sentiments from our faculty and staff later this week.
Tuesday, December 19th:
- Buck a Jeans Day: Please wear purple for Pedro. Follow the Jeans Day attire policy from the handbook if you choose not to wear purple. And remember, tennis shoes only on Jeans Day! (No Ugg Boots). Bring a $1 or MORE for this fundraiser. See below for more information.
